I was first introduced to massage therapy as a child and have always enjoyed giving and receiving a variety of bodywork modalities.
As an adult, I have many years of experience in the field of healthcare. I am passionate about helping others achieve improved health and love to assist people in feeling better physically as well as mentally.
After more than a decade of working with birthing women, I graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, in 2005 with a BA in Human Services and a minor in psychology. I obtained certification as a level 1 Reiki practitioner in 2006 and became a nurse in 2009. Most recently, I attended training and earned my certification in Ashiatsu Deepfeet Bar Therapy.
In my pursuit of a career in the nursing profession I was required to enroll in several anatomy and physiology courses which led me to apprentice with a massage therapist and I obtained my Florida massage license in 2018.
I believe that the body has an amazing ability to heal itself when given the right care and attention. My holistic approach to massage therapy focuses on treating the whole person, not just the symptoms. I strive to create a peaceful and nurturing environment where clients can relax, unwind, and let go of stress. Enjoying a massage and letting go of stress is one of the best disease-prevention strategies, as so many diseases are associated with high-stress levels. Massage has the ability to improve the quality of one's life...I hope to see you soon!
